You learn something at every convention and at this one my lovely partner and editor showed me how to make my booth look like i didn’t put it together (trust me that’s a good thing)

As you can tell that is a much more enticing booth (I should also mention that she joined me one of these days and the only reason i even have that “book signing sign” is cause she insisted it would make people want to stop and talk… she was right *side eye*). Either way it was an entirely fantastic experience and if you have not start the convention circuit with your stuff here are some tips i have learned so far:
- Fill the space.
- Offer Digital versions for free with purchase (if available it’s an added value)
- Set up is literally 60% of the battle.
- Be present, inviting, and personable.
- Just because 1 person doesn’t make a purchase doesn’t mean they won’t talk to others who will.
- Have your area clean and your inventory stocked in easy reach, while you may want to hide some under the table to show that stock may be limited. This is a tricky one i normally just have either all or up to 3 books sitting off to the side (Just a personal preference).
- Everybody loves stickers.
